How To Get Disability For Back Pain-Lower back often pain? If so, you need to be more in doing healthy lifestyle. A global study found, lower back pain (NPB) more often leads to disability rather than infection, depression, and heart problems.
A group of researchers from Australia has conducted an assessment of the prevalence of NPB worldwide and how it impacts. They use data from Global Burden of Disease 2010, a major research funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. They analyzed data from 187 countries, by comparing low back pain against 291 other health disorders.
As a result, they found that 9.4 percent of positive study participants had lower back pain. According to the study also, lower back pain is the number one cause of disability in many countries. The discovery was later published recently in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases.
“Lower back pain is the number one cause of disability in most countries around the world, including Australia,” said Rachelle Buchbinder, professor of rheumatology and epidemiology at Monash University, Melbourne.
In the same journal, it is also mentioned that the people most at risk of experiencing NPB are those who work in the Agrarian sector. Farming workers 3.7 times more at risk of developing NPB than office workers. Similarly, according to Tim Driscoll, occupational health experts and professors at the University of Sydney.
The proportion of cases of lower back pain due to occupational factors has indeed decreased in recent years. Nevertheless, Buchbinder said, the adverse effects of NPB are increasing from year to year. His study shows that the number of people living with disabilities due to low back pain has increased from 58.2 million people in 1900 to 83 million people in 2010. Overcoming these health problems, Buchbinder suggests that the sufferer is always active.
“We know that in the majority of people who experience acute back pain, the best handling step is to remain active, perform normal activities, and consume pain relievers if deemed necessary,” said Buchbinder
